  • First of all, there are many nice horses available in Malibu, CA. The 11 y.o. Hannoverian/TB grey gelding, 16.3-17.0, is still available. He could be bought for an even cheaper price right now ($5000???). He is a perfect beginner's horse, first level dressage (he's been starting half-passes recently), jumps 2'9", and has a single flying change. He's a "packer" and is safe on trails. This is one of the "fire sale" horses. The other found a wonderful new home.

  • There is another horse that might be a good deal. Winchester is a 6 y.o. Dutch horse (by Kyra Kirkland's stallion, Amiral). He is 17.1, bay, and has been scoring in the 70's through first level. He is ready now for second level. He has a floating chip in a hind fetlock or ankle. The owner does not want to bother with the arthroscopic surgery. She would entertain offers under $10K ($8000???). This was a $25-30K horse.

  • Leonidas Isabella is a grey 15.0 h.h. 2007 Trakehner (Leonidas)/Arab (Midnite Minuet-Desparado bred mare w/Huckleberry Bey & Khemosabi lines) filly. The dam's line were all halter and performance champions. Trailers, ties, leads, stalls, great for vet/farrier. Starting light ground work and manners, handled daily. She is dressage bred, should be 15.3 or so and would be a great addition to breeding program. She is registered in both breed associations with DNA and blood typing. Easy going and willing personality, uncomplicated. Currently growing very well. Up to date on all vacs & farrier. (Picture available) $4500

  • Summer Princess is a 16.1 h.h. solid bay 2003 mare, TB/Paint cross from Red Fox Farm in Caldwell, TX. Summer is registered APHA breeding stock mare, PAC, andUSDF ID. Dam is by The Spotlight and has nice tobiano breeding and marking. Summer currently works regularly under sadde - walk, trot, canter, leg-yield, shoulder-in, quarter turns, backs. She has been to three shows at Intro level, travels regularly to lessons to increase her skills, is up-to-date on all vacs and farrier. Great potential for adult amateur for dressage or h/j. (Picture available) $3500 obo.

  • Tangelo Che is a 2001 16.2 h.h. chestnut registered Anglo/Arabian gelding. Che has a great walk and trot with lots of extension in the trot and a solid canter. Schooling 2nd & 3rd level dressage and has jumped consistently up to 3'6" with much more potential. He does leg-yield, shoulder-in, half-pass, single flying changes, collected and extended gaits. Fairly easy keeper, current on all vacs, good for vet/farrier (great feet!), no injuries. He has competed and been in the ribbons consistently in jumpers, dressage, and Arab circuit with pleasure championships. Che is a strong horse and has a dominant personality. He gives his all and is very affectionate but needs a more advanced rider, no children. (Picture available) $5000 obo. Sold

  • Leo is an 8 y.o. TB gelding, 16.3 h.h., dk. bay and a very, very handsome good mover. He has been doing training and first level work in dressage with some half-passes and single flying changes. He LOVES to jump. He is multi-talented, sweet, and safe. He loads, clips, ships, shoes, and vets. He would excel at eventing, h/j, dressage, Pony Club, whatever. $7500 obo.

  • Ramone is a 3 y.o. 16.0 h.h. grey American warmblood, not yet under saddle. He is by Razuli (TB/Percheron) out of a TB mare. He loads, ships, clips, shoes, vets, and has been lunged in bridle, saddle, and side reins. He will be backed this Spring. He is very good about someone laying over his back and walking around. $3500. (We sold another Razuli youngster to a woman in the Chicago area. He has turned out to be a wonderful, big, good-moving horse.)

  • "Fire Sale". 11 y.o. grey Hannoverian/TB gelding, 16.3-17.0 h.h. Perfect beginner horse, first level, jumps a little (2'9") and has a flying change, trail rides. He is a "packer". The lady is asking $10K, but needs money and may even negotiate that price.

  • "Fire Sale". (same owner - MUST sell - quickly). 12 y.o. dk., dk. bay (black?) Dutch/QH mare, 16.1-16.2 h.h.. Very good mind. Very, very nice hunter. Jumps 3'6". Wins on Los Angeles area circuit. Asking $12,000 (also most likely negotiable - have been told she could easily get 3 to 4 times as much if she had time to wait - which she doesn't). She would like both these horses gone THIS WEEK, if possible. It's really a tough time for most people, and much, much worse for others. Our trainer friend is very high on this horse. He couldn't praise her enough. Sold

  • 12 y.o. German riding pony (large pony), blk/brn, SUPER flying changes, 2nd level (maybe 3rd), excellent jumper, will not pass vet check, but our friend swears he is sound on Adequan and Legend. He says this pony's price would be in the stratosphere otherwise. They are asking $15,000, and might take $10,000 up front and $5,000 later.

  • 6 y.o. bay gelding coming in from Germany, 2nd level, half-passes, 17.0-17.1 h.h., international quality, $60,000.

  • 2003 purebred Haflinger gelding, 14 hh. "Peanut" has sport pony conformation, dark palomino with beautiful long, flowing white mane and tail. Lovely, sweet temperament. • 2001 registered Anglo-Arabian gelding, 16.2 hh. "Che" is trained in dressage to 2nd level, jumps 3'6" with ease, and is beginning jumping cross-country. On the Arabian circuit in 2006, he was area hunter pleasure High Point with multiple championships and highpoints. Scores in the 60's at second level in regular dressage schooling and recognized shows. He has also placed in jumper shows on Houston circuit. Che would be most suitable for a strong, able rider and is not a horse for a junior or a beginner. Sound, no injuries, great conformation and lots of extension in gaits. The owner is asking $10,000 OBO.

  • 2003 APHA registered TB bay mare, 16.1 hh. "Summer" has had round pen training, work in surcingle and side reins, and was started under saddle in September '08. She does walk/trot, starting canter, leg yields and backs. She stalls, hauls, ties anywhere, and is great for farrier and vet. Good ground manners and very easy to handle. Summer is very forward and light, loves to free jump and work over cavelletti, would probably excel at dressage, hunter/jumper, or eventing.
